In the desire to never see them again, he disappears from his life for the next 15 years. The original fairy tale in here is simply the prudent housewife who is Cinderella and her pupils. The stepmother is not bad, just understandably unhappy forced to marry Stephen, it snatches of his life at court and he starts on his land at a distance, without even saying it has a live-daughter. The stepsisters are distinguished character dimensions, as well. In fact the whole book with strong women who exercise their influence in a world of fairy tales and pleasant, with a sensitive and intelligent young men to recognize their value is filled.
